    Expert notes:
In every auction, there is a remarkable stone. If there only had to be one, it would be this stone! A padparadscha of a color so vivid, so intense, so saturated; it is rare. In a gemologist’s lifetime, sapphires of this quality are less than the number of fingers on one hand. This padparadscha appears red, then a tender pink color adds itself to this primary red, to finally unveil an expression of bloody orange. Nature has decided. This color will be unique and well above all others. What a pleasure to be able to share this beautiful stone with Millon Belgique’s clients. It is very rare and it is really beautiful.

A lower color, E, and we would write ‘nearly white’ on the certificates. Here, a round cut diamond of impressionable size and ideal color. No need for more to be a part of this 50 precious stones’ collection!

we can identify small inclusions conveying a black color on an inclined surface. It may probably be small (non-tested) protogenetic zircons surrounded by halos. The gemologic vocabulary seems hermetic, yet the explanation is simple. A spinel has formed itself in a conducive environment while small zircons were already present for several hundreds of millions of years. Two very distant geological eras are reunited in this stone, offering the result of an atypical and sought-after spinel.

    notes:
The cut plays on a surprising oval variation. It is in fact very astonishing because diamond cuts are usually very precise to allow a nice spread of light. Here, the girdle is thick, divided, the culet in four parts has improbable facets. In all honesty, a fancy cut diamond is refreshing. We are no longer tied by the conventions.
